This October 2014 issue of The Weekly Standard examined shifting social norms on American college campuses with Heather Mac Donald's cover story questioning whether the end of the collegiate bacchanal era was approaching. The issue also featured Stephen F. Hayes's analysis of what he termed "the disintegration of the Obama presidency," while contributing writers addressed Republican strategy heading into the midterm elections, healthcare policy debates, and international tensions involving Putin and the Baltic states. The magazine's editorial by William Kristol and various columns rounded out an issue focused on cultural and political transitions in contemporary America.
