This issue of The Weekly Standard featured Joseph Bottum's cover story examining anti-Catholicism in America. The magazine also devoted substantial space to spring reading recommendations, reviewing works on diverse subjects including Walt Whitman, Winston Churchill, Karl Rove, Augustine, Cleopatra, baseball, and ancient Greece. Additionally, the issue promoted Daniel Ruddy's Theodore Roosevelt's History of the United States with endorsements from prominent historians Edmund Morris and Douglas Brinkley.
