This issue of The Weekly Standard mounted a comprehensive conservative critique of Barack Obama's policy agenda ahead of the 2008 presidential election. Matthew Continetti examined Obama's economic proposals under the heading "Invasion of the Wallet Snatchers," while Terry Eastland warned of the liberal judicial philosophy that would guide "Night of the Living Constitution" through Obama's judicial appointments. Frederick W. Kagan assessed the likely direction of Obama's foreign policy in "The Fog," and Yuval Levin critiqued the health care prescription contained in "The Cabinet of Dr. Obama."
