Walter Russell Mead is a distinguished foreign policy analyst, author, and professor at Bard College who also serves as the James Clarke Chace Professor of Foreign Affairs and Humanities. He is a longtime columnist and editor-at-large at The American Interest and a fellow at the Hudson Institute. He contributed commentary to The Weekly Standard on American politics and policy.
