The Black Hole of Auschwitz
Walter Reich is a psychiatrist, author, and professor at George Washington University who served as the first director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum from 1995 to 1998. He is a widely published writer on psychiatry, ethics, and the politics of memory. He contributed to The Weekly Standard with writing on themes of historical memory and trauma.
