Richard Norton Smith is a presidential historian, biographer, and former director of multiple presidential libraries, including those of Herbert Hoover, Dwight Eisenhower, and Abraham Lincoln. He is the author of acclaimed biographies of George Washington, Herbert Hoover, and Nelson Rockefeller, among others. He contributed pieces to The Weekly Standard on literary and political subjects.
