Morton Abramowitz is a former U.S. ambassador and foreign policy expert who served in senior positions at the State Department, including as ambassador to Turkey and Thailand. A longtime analyst of international affairs, he contributed to The Weekly Standard with commentary on Balkan politics and the Milosevic regime. He is also known for his work with the International Crisis Group and the Century Foundation.
