David Satter is an American journalist, author, and Russia expert who has reported extensively on the former Soviet Union and modern Russia. He is a fellow at the Hudson Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and was notably expelled from Russia in 2013. He contributed articles to The Weekly Standard analyzing Russian politics, corruption, and events such as the Beslan school siege.
