Bruce Thornton is a classicist, author, and research fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, as well as a professor of classics and humanities at California State University, Fresno. He is known for his writing on classical Greek culture and its relevance to modern Western civilization. He contributed occasional pieces to The Weekly Standard in the mid-2000s.
