IN EARLY 1935, GOD MUST HAVE BEEN in a very good and joyous mood, creating the mold for Sonny Bono. My only complaint is that He used that mold just once, in a very limited edition.

Bruce Herschensohn was a conservative political commentator, author, and former Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in California in 1992. He served as a deputy special assistant to President Nixon and was a longtime fellow at the Claremont Institute and Pepperdine University. He contributed a tribute to Congressman Sonny Bono for The Weekly Standard in 1998.
