A.M. Juster is the pen name of Michael J. Astrue, a poet, translator, and former public official who served as Commissioner of the Social Security Administration. He is known for his formalist poetry and acclaimed translations of Latin and other classical verse. He contributed light verse to The Weekly Standard.
