Alexandros Petersen was a foreign policy analyst and author who specialized in energy security, Central Asian geopolitics, and the politics of the greater Middle East. He contributed analysis on international alliances to The Weekly Standard in 2013. Petersen was killed in a January 2014 attack on a restaurant in Kabul, Afghanistan, at the age of 29.
