From yesterday's front-page love note to Obama in the Times:

But for all of Mr. Obama's attentiveness to Jewish concerns about Israel, Republican Party officials have made it clear that they think this is an area of vulnerability. Though Mr. Obama has condemned Hamas, a militant Palestinian group, as a terrorist organization, just last week Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, suggested that the group wanted to see Mr. Obama in the White House. Mr. Obama denounced that suggestion as a "smear."

You'd think it would be worth noting that, for all of Mr. Obama's attentiveness to Jewish concerns about Israel, he still managed to pick up the endorsement of Hamas--thus McCain's crazy suggestion that the group wants to see Mr. Obama in the White House, or what Obama calls a "smear." But maybe it is a smear. Given the Obama campaign's ties to Hamas, it's entirely possibly they know something we don't. Maybe Hamas was trying to mimic Operation Chaos with its own on-air endorsement--maybe what Hamas really wants is a reEVOLution.
