One would think that of all interested parties, the United Auto Workers would have something to say about the sad fall of the city of Detroit. There is nothing, however, on the union's website.
One suspects that the union has decided it is time to move on and leave the ruined city for more fertile ground. Vance, Alabama. Chattanooga, Tennessee. Places where they still build cars and people still have jobs but remain, curiously, unrepresented by the UAW.
