Mitt Romney has filmed a two-minute closing argument, set to air on the eve of the New Hampshire primary. Here it is:
The video shows clearly how Romney has shifted gears from the social conservative who lost the Iowa caucuses by nine points to the turnaround artist who hopes to win New Hampshire. Romney also has been talking up his experience as chairman of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. There has been a lot written about how statecraft isn't exactly the same as business. But is Washington really the same as a corrupt Olympics committee? International bureaucrats aren't the problem in Washington; the breakdown of consensus and traditional structures of authority is the problem. Bringing up the Olympics turnaround would make more sense if Romney was running for, say, U.N. Secretary General.
