If you watched it (and there wasn't much reason to do so), you may have felt, as I did, that moderator Carolyn Washburn, editor of the Des Moines Register, felt much more ... at home during today's Democratic debate than she did during yesterday's Republican confab. Today Washburn laughed at the pols' jokes, lobbed softball questions, and gently chided those senators who went over the allotted time. Everyone was among friends.
