Via the New York Times, Sotomayor's questionnaire ( PDF) was delivered to the Senate today. As noted last week, the press and Democrats were very concerned about whether or not Alito and Roberts were members of the Federalist Society, but Sotomayor's connections with the controversial National Council of La Raza had received far less scrutiny. Sotomayor published her "wise Latina" law review article in the La Raza law journal. She informs the Senate in her questionnaire that she was a member of the group from 1998 to 2004. One wonders: Why did she quit?
