"Europe faces a growing threat of ballistic missile attack from rogue states such as Iran and North Korea and needs missile defenses to counter the threats, a NATO report says." The 10,000-page report, commissioned four years ago, sees a "growing" threat from Iranian Shahab-3 missiles, as well as from North Korea and Syria. It argues that "territorial missile defense is technically feasible." However, some nations, including France and Germany, oppose such a shield.
