Via the Daily Caller, liberal writer Richard Wolffe mocked Sarah Palin on Hardball last night for saying she finds "divine inspiration" in the writings of C.S. Lewis."Divine inspiration from a series of kids books?," said Wolffe, apparently unaware that the author of the Chronicles of Narnia, a series of fantasy novels filled with Christian themes, was also one of the most popular Christian apologists of the 20th century (see: Mere Christianity,  The Screwtape Letters,  The Great Divorce, etc.,  etc.,  etc.)

WOLFFE: Look, divine inspiration from a series of kids books? I dont think C.S. Lewis would really want Newsmax in -- (CROSSTALK) MATTHEWS: But I wouldnt put down C.S. Lewis. WOLFFE: No, I`m not putting him down. MATTHEWS: Right. WOLFFE: But divine inspiration? There are things she could have said for divine inspiration. Choosing C.S. Lewis is an interesting one.
