On Friday night, the Obama administration announced the release of more Gitmo detainees, including the transfer of Ahmed Zuhair to Saudi Arabia. As Thomas Joscelyn reported, Zuhair killed, or played a role in the killing of, an American named William Jefferson, who was working for the UN in Bosnia in 1995. Zuhair had Jefferson's watch, gun, and car in his possession after killing him. The AP failed to report on "William Jefferson's murder [and] the car bombing in Mostar that Zuhair was convicted of masterminding." On Sunday night, CNN failed to scrutinize the dubious claims of former detainees now enjoying their freedom in Bermuda.
