The headline over a Brian Resnick item at National Journal reads:
Obama: 'We've Learned Not to Make Wild Promises’
Well, one thinks, that covers a lot of territory. And who is to say that it isn’t a kind of wild promise, itself? Still, there is hope. Maybe this means a reduction (even a big one) in the number of those speeches that start late and feature a bunch of strangers standing dutifully behind the President, watching his back.
That would be a win.
