Public Policy Polling reports:
It's looking more and more likely that Wisconsin will be in the top tier of competitive Senate races this fall. Russ Feingold leads challenger Ron Johnson by only two points, 45-43. Johnson is polling closer to Feingold than Tommy Thompson was as he contemplated a potential campaign.
Politico reported a couple weeks ago that "Feingold dismissed a late May Rasmussen Reports survey that showed Johnson within two points of him as a 'Republican poll.'" Maybe now that PPP, a Democratic firm, is showing the same numbers he's starting to sweat?
Remember what happened to the last Democratic Senate candidate who disbelieved an unfavorable Rasmussen poll? " Coakley dismissed the Rasmussen numbers when asked about the poll Tuesday night."
