Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the two least liked presidential candidates since the advent of modern polling. But tellingly, there is one force in politics that voters hate even more—the news media.
According to the latest NBC poll, 37 percent of Americans view Hillary Clinton favorably, 29 percent view Donald Trump favorably, and just 19 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the media.

If the media are viewed as partisan and dishonest, it would go a long way toward explaining Trump's current resilience in the polls in spite of the fact that the media are bombarding him with negative coverage.
