If it would be difficult for the state to make a case for earmarks. If there was one thing that [Barack Obama and John McCain] both agreed on it's that the earmark reform process will take place--no more abuse of earmarks. Barack Obama and John McCain both though acknowledged there's nothing wrong with a mayor or a governor with a senator or representative asking for a share of the federal budget because we all contribute to that federal budget. But there cannot be the abuse--the in the 11th hour behind closed doors shoving in projects that are a result of self-dealing and corruption. We had better make sure that every earmark we request is in the nation's best interest and is something that has been vetted and seen the light of day via public participation before we even request it.
