Politico reports that Keith Olbermann's fill-in tonight has given money to a Democratic candidate:
Chris Hayes, Washington editor of The Nation and a previous fill-in for Rachel Maddow, will fill in for Keith Olbermann tonight, MSNBC has confirmed. Hayes’s own political giving was the lead anecdote of a story about journalists’ donations by the Center for Responsive Politics in September. He gave $250 to the congressional campaign of a friend, Alabama Democrat Josh Segall
When Jeremiah Wright spoke at the National Press Club in 2008, John McCormack observed that Hayes literally cheered for Wright: "most of those in the press gallery didn't openly applaud Wright during his speech--as did Christopher Hayes of the Nation and Nadia Charters of Al-Arabiya TV, who were both sitting (appropriately) to the left of me."
