After a Palestinian terror attack that killed four in Israel, President Barack Obama is calling for both sides to be calm. "Too many Israelis have died; too many Palestinians have died. At this difficult time I think it's important for both Palestinians and Israelis to try to work together to lower tensions and reject violence," said President Obama, according to the White House pool report.

Pool was ushered in to the Roosevelt Room shortly after 11 am to find POTUS seated with his national security and public health teams about to start a closed meeting on the US Ebola response. Participants and transcript of Obama remarks presumably to follow from WH POTUS began by condemning the mosque [sic] attack in Jerusalem Some remark highlights: "Too many Israelis have died; too many Palestinians have died. At this difficult time I think it's important for both Palestinians and Israelis to try to work together to lower tensions and reject violence." "We have to remind ourselves that the majority of Palestinians and Israelis overwhelmingly want peace." On Ebola POTUS said "some of the attention on the crisis has ebbed over the last several weeks, but the challenge remains." Despite the recent death in Nabraska of a Sierra Leonian doctor, Obama said "we've established that when Evola [sic is properly diagnosed and treated we have a great chance of curing it." He noted that all 8 patients while were treated properly in the US have recovered. But he used the occasion to call on Congress to pass more Ebola funding. Among those in attendance : Homeland Security Sec Jeh Johnson, Valerie Jarret, and Denis McDonough The President spoke to the pool for about 8 minutes before we were ushered out He took no questions.

The pool reporter quickly followed up to add a correction: "Attack to which POTUS referred was at a synagogue, not a mosque[.] My apologies."

Three American citizens were reportedly killed in this morning's terror attack inside an Israeli syangogue.
