Obama says, "I'm not going to comment on former President Carter. He's a private citizen. It's not my place to discuss who he shouldn't meet with." By this standard, isn't former President Bill Clinton also a private citizen? I guess Obama would have us believe former presidents who criticize him are public figures and those who endorse him are private citizens.
