In this episode of the Hoover Institution's "Uncommon Knowledge" hosted by Peter Robinson, Jeb Bush discourses on his time governing Florida, domestic policy issues, and politics in general. The whole thing is worth watching:
Notice what Bush says at the end, when he is discussing the 2008 GOP presidential candidates. Bush has a slight dig at former White House counselor Dan Bartlett, who recently described what he saw as each candidate's flaws. "It came out pretty bad looking," says Bush. So Bush describes what he sees as each candidate's strengths. When the subject turns to Mitt Romney, Bush says the former Massachusetts governor's greatest strength is "intellectual curiosity, which I think the next president of the United States is going to need to have." I wonder if Jeb's indirect reference to his brother George will come up during this year's Thanksgiving dinner conversation, now less than three weeks away.
