If you were about to press the trigger on the weapon that would destroy the world (or come close, anyway) then wouldn’t you want to do it with a touch of style?  Some elegance, wit, or mordancy?

Well, the Strategic Air Command takes a more phlegmatic view.  As Sean Gallagher at  Ars Technica reports:

"… for two decades, all the Minuteman nuclear missiles in the US used the same eight-digit numeric passcode to enable their warheads: 00000000.”

Nothing times eight?

Surely they could have done better than that.  How about, for instance,  au revoir?
