The man responsible for the AK-47, the brutally simple weapon favored by terrorists and jihadist around the globe – as well as the armies of the most of important nations hostile to the U.S. – is dead at 94.  He was predeceased by the Soviet empire that employed him and for which he designed the rifle.  In good communist fashion, he never made any money off his creation.  And, as the  BBC reports:

… once said he would have been better off designing a lawn mower.
