Last night the Obama campaign sent out an email boasting of having had more than 300,000 donors since January 1. As of 9:40 this morning the number was 331,241. They've set a new goal of 500,000 donors by March 4 and they say that people who contribute from here on in will have their donations matched by one of the 300,000 contributors already onboard in the new year. Obama doesn't give dollar totals. Contrast that with a Clinton fundraising email out this morning boasting of more than 45,000 contributors ponying up $6.4 million in the two days following Super Tuesday, for a total of $7.5 million raised online in the last week.
