A labor-dominated coalition supporting Kathleen Falk is making a seven-figure ad buy to provide a closing push for the underdog in the closing stage of Wisconsin's Democratic gubernatorial primary. The 527 group announced on Thursday that it is purchasing $1 million worth of airtime on cable, broadcast and online during the stretch run of the Democratic race. The ads will begin airing Friday and will run through May 7 -- the day before the primary.
The labor coalition curiously stopped running ads a week ago, and many saw the group's silence as a sign it was giving up on Falk. Now it appears that, for whatever reason, Big Labor decided it's going all in for Falk in a the final week of the Democratic primary.
