If you can't make it to the  Proud to be American July 4th Tea Party on Independence Mall in Philadelphia to hear Bill Kristol speak, there are other ways to commemorate America's independence.

1.) You can read Kristol's 2008 piece from the New York Timeson the meaning of July 4th.

2.) John Podhoretz's  op-ed from the  New York Post on the patriotic opposition is worth your time.

3.) Barbecue and beer.

Better yet, partake in all three. Happy Independence Day.
