Florida press is knocking Hillary Clinton for hiding during her visit to the Sunshine State.
"South Florida's also getting a visit from presidential candidate Hillary Clinton today. She'll attend fundraisers in Coconut Grove and in Carol Gables as well. Tomorrow, off to Parkland for similar events. But you're not going to have a chance to see her because all these fundraisers, at least as we understand, they are all completely private," Miami's NBC affiliate reports.
Miami's CBS affiliate reports something similar:
The Tampa Bay Times reports:
“Hillary Clinton brings her presidential campaign to Florida today but average people and reporters won’t have much of an opportunity, if any at all, to see her up close.”
“Clinton has generally avoided interaction with reporters and stuck to tightly controlled small group meetings with voters in Iowa and other early primary states.”
“Who will get to see her? People with a lot of money. Clintons is fundraising in Miami-Dade, Broward and Orlando.”
And the Miami Herald likewise points out that Hillary will be hiding from voters in Florida:
Remember how Hillary Clinton's campaign had said she might do a public event as part of her two-day fund-raising swing through Florida this week? Looks like that won't be happening. No public event has been scheduled, according to her campaign.
