With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Republican Elise Stefanik has taken over a Democratic House seat in upstate New York. Stefanik, age 30, will become the youngest woman to ever serve in the House. She won by a whopping 22 points. Democrats narrowly won this seat in 2009, 2010, 2012 when the GOP nominated liberal or moderate Republicans who alienated conservatives. Stefanik is fiscally conservative, pro-life, and strong on national security.

On Long Island, Republican Lee Zeldin picked up a seat that eluded Republicans during the 2010 Republican wave. Zeldin, an Iraq war veteran who will be the only Jewish Republican in Congress, defeated incumbent Democrat Tim Bishop by 10 points. Former Republican prosecutor John Katko also captured a Democratic seat in Syracuse. He won by 19 points.

New York Democrats Louise Slaughter and Sean Patrick Maloney are clinging to small leads with 100 percent of precincts reporting.
