This list of "The 86 Greatest Travel Books of All Time" makes for interesting reading, but is Tom Bissell's Chasing the Sea really on the same plane as Herodotus? I've enjoyed Bissell's journalism, but isn't it, you know, some two thousand years too early to tell whether his books stand among the greatest ever written?
