Israel has the right to defend itself against attacks by terrorist organizations by any means necessary in order to protect its citizens. While this latest incident serves as a reminder that tensions are rising in the Middle East, in no way should it change the support we give to our longtime and critically strategic ally. We cannot let this tragic incident and the distortions from Israel’s critics stand in the way of Israel’s right to ensure the safety and security of its land and people.
