Arriana Huffington literally wrote the book on becoming fearless, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised that she's got the stones to stand shoulder to shoulder with Moqtada al Sadr as they both seek legislation that would demand a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. In her latest post at her self-named site, Huffington accuses McCain and Bush of "making a mockery of democracy in Iraq." How, you ask, did two of the staunchest defenders of a democratic Iraq do any such thing? Because they aren't heeding the petition put forth by Sadr's bloc in the Iraqi parliament demanding a timetable for withdrawal. Leave aside the fact that Sadr and the Democratic party seem to be using the same playbook, and let's examine the issue a little more closely. First off, no such legislation has been passed by the Iraqi parliament. Rather, what was circulated and signed was merely a "petition." More important though, is the fact that a good number of the parliamentarians whose names appear on that petition have accused the Sadrists of a " deception," owing to the fact that the language does not include the condition
