Former Georgia Gov. and Sen. Zell Miller switch hits once again as a surrogate for a Republican ticket, touting Saxby Chambliss at a rally today. A couple special, Zellian highlights: "I don't like this spreading the wealth thing-to steal money from Peter to give to Paul, even if it gets Paul to vote for you, is wrong, wrong, wrong." Miller also shared a story about when he was governor and tried to implement a tax cut. Jim Martin, he said, was the first to rise up against it. Miller prefaced the story with a characteristically self-deprecating, "When I was governor, in 1942..." I miss this guy:
Here's Sarah Palin, who can easily hang with Zell with the Georgia crowds.
Palin drew crowds of thousands at four stops for Chambliss today while Martin was staging a rally with such leading lights as Ludacris, Young Jeezy, and T.I.

Folks in Georgia are feeling pretty good about Saxby's chances, as he creeped up to a 5-6 point lead on the eve of the election, according to polls, but tomorrow's result will be partly dependent on turn-out on this holiday-season Tuesday, which will be significantly lower than Nov. 4.
